The OptionHacker Trading Plan for Day and Swing Trading Options and Stock
For years, we have heard market commentators and other financial pundits talk about the insight unusual options activity in options markets can provide traders and investors.
Since 2013, Andrew Keene has been worked with a team of traders and quantitative developers to build a scanner to highlight this activity in a way that provides actionable signals to traders and investors.
In The OptionHacker Trading Plan… attendees will learn the following:
WHY traders and investors should follow unusual options activity
WHAT constitutes unusual options activity and why it is important
HOW to determine if an order is bullish or bearish
WHEN call buying isn’t bullish and and put buying isn’t bearish
HOW taking advantage of this activity can complement your existing trading strategy
Prior to founding KeeneOnTheMarket.com in 2011, Andrew Keene worked as a proprietary trader at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Keene graduated from Botta Capital’s clerk-to-trade program to become known as one of fasted traders to ‘make a market.’ As a market maker he traded options in over 125 stocks, including Apple, General Electric, Goldman Sachs, and Yahoo. Keene left Botta Capital to co-found KATL Group, where he was the largest, independent on-the-floor Apple trader in the world.
Andrew currently actively trades futures, equity options currency pairs, and commodities. He regularly appears on CNBC, Bloomberg Television, and Fox Business. His first book, Trade to Win Using Unusual Options Activity, Volatility, and Earnings currently available from Wiley Publishing.
In 2014 Keene released OptionHacker, a proprietary scanner designed to filter order flow to isolate the most unusual options activity.
Andrew received a B.S. in Finance with a concentration in Accountancy from the University of Illinois.
